Jigsaw has been awarded £20,000 to support Jigsaw Link 'Have a Go' Sessions that provide a welcoming, relaxed space where members can try new activities, socialise, and enjoy a nutritious lunch together. In June 2026, Jigsaw Link Volunteer, Judith, was delighted to attend the Mayor's Reception celebrating Volunteers’ Week earlier in the month and marking #SmallCharitiesWeek. The event began with a warm welcome from our Chief Officer Helen Tomlinson, followed by inspiring words from The Mayor, Councillor Mohammed Tahir Rafiq who recognised the incredible contributions that local groups and volunteers make across the borough.

Volunteers Week takes place from Monday 1st June – Sunday 7th June 2026. On Tuesday 2nd June, Jigsaw hosted its very own 'Volunteers Week Celebration'. All Jigsaw Volunteers were invited along as we acknowledge the incredible contributions our volunteers make to Jigsaw. On Wednesday 22nd April 2026, Special Olympics Bury had the privilege of being invited to Liverpool Football Club Women's Open Training at AXA Melwood Training Centre for a meet and greet with the Women's first team and opportunity to watch them train, followed by a tour of Anfield. Our Gardening Club was part of the GM Live Well Spring Festival on Tuesday 10th March 2026 at Bamford Road Allotments. Jigsaw hosted a 'pop up' with a Mother's Day theme where our members painted special pots for their loved ones & planted them with beautiful flowers from our allotment.
